Dynamic Axes on Excel Chart
Figured I'd pose it to all you Excel wizards.
I have this excel sheet where I enter data row by row, maybe a dozen or two rows a day. There is an associated chart displaying the data.
Right now I have to re-format the axes whenever I add more data to make everything fit nice and snugly. I've tried several times to make it so the x-axis of the chart expands automatically to include the newly entered data, but so far no dice.
I'm sure this can be done with VBA, but even better if without. Thanks.
Try inserting rows when you enter the data

Better yet, convert the data to a Table, this will automatically factor in new cells when applying the table name as the data points in a chart, highlight the range of data you want and click INSERT tab, and go to table. This automatically generates names for your headers, and you can name the table under the design feature.
