Eli Manning....

Just needed to put up a post venting my frustration towards Eli Manning and what a bonehead he is. I am a die hard Giants fan but that was one of the most moronic plays to lose a game I have ever seen in my life.

For those who didn't see. He ran to pick up a first down with about 4 minutes left in the game and rather than sliding safely, he managed to fumble the ball while tripping over his own feet completely untouched...

Poor guy...going to live his whole life in his brothers shadow...

Eli is an average QB whose only redeeming factor is that he plays every week.

monkayPeyton is amazing but Eli has a pretty big shadow himself..He's on a bunch of lists with the greatest QBs ever and he also has the same amount of championships and super bowl mvp's as Peyton does. Nonetheless I was bashing my face against the wall during that play and now I have no teeth for any upcoming interviews.....

I think I still have scars from bashing my face against the wall at the end of his super bowl win...

(I'm from Boston.)

That was David Tyree's super bowl win actually...I'm a huge Giants fan but I could have thrown that pass to keep the winning drive alive...David Tyree should have been the MVP for that catch alone

monkayHaha yeah, I go to school in Boston and watched it at a bar here. Amazing

That will be the best memory from college. Watching all these people cry about their team.

Let me just preface this with saying I'm a diehard Giants fan. This year Eli has been an elite QB no doubt about it. Forget the interceptions (a majority of those were tipped -- including one tonight). But that play was pathetic. That was probably the longest run of his career and probably the only time in his career he didn't do the "please don't tackle me I'm a quarterback" slide. Just pathetic. This team is going nowhere. The Giants were awful tonight. For the second week in a row they had a HUGE game changing play called back on a penalty (last week was the 40 yard touchdown to Nicks that was called back on a penalty against Andrews and this week was the 3rd and 6 stop called back due to offsides on Jason Pierre-Paul). But they should have won. Maybe we won't blow it against Coughlin's old team next week.

Giants weren't winning that game anyway. If the Giants went in there and tied it Eagles still had a very good chance to win. That was simply the nail in the coffin.

Edmundo BravermanSorry. But this guy deserves any bad shit that comes his way for the primadonna bullshit he pulled with San Diego in the draft.

I've got nothing but love for Archie and Peyton, but I can't stand Eli.

vince young?

Can you say John Elway...

Haha, true. The funny thing is that San Diego drafted 3 Pro-Bowlers with those picks -- Philip Rivers, Nate Kaeding, and Shawne Merriman.

His performance in 2007 through the amazing Super Bowl win will always give Eli a pass in my book. That and he's never really been an overrated quarterback. In fact, he basically gets glossed over despite putting up good stats every year and generally being cool under pressure. That dive instead of a slide last night was awful, but it's tough to blame him for a loss when the defense allowed such massive runs...that one on 4th down was unbearable.

It doesn't get much worse than being beaten by a puppy killer who is suddenly being touted as an MVP candidate. Vick should be shoveling shit for the rest of his life, not playing in the NFL.

"But, but, he did his time!" GTFO. If anyone who isn't a pro-athlete did what he did (finance and operate a massive dog fighting racket), they'd be working as a janitor for the rest of their lives. I'm getting pretty God damned sick and tired of hearing the media suck on his dick this year.

Ray Lewis killed a guy. Pacman left a bouncer paralyzed at a night club. VMarvin Harrison owns a gun that was used by a friend to kill someone in North Philly. The list goes on and on yet you are worried about a puppy killer that ran a "gambling ring". What Vick did pales in comparison to so many other pro athletes actions yet he is vilified for it. He killed dogs NOT people. I think it's time people get over this shit already.
