It’s funny bc from my experience, most people who obsess over “elite” schools and “prestigious” positions are those who arent in them. I went to an ivy and it felt like a normal ass school. Classes, exams, parties, etc. You dont wake up and feel any different, and honestly you forget it’s even an ivy, until you meet some kid who hears your school name and makes a remark about it, whether as a joke or because they have a chip on their shoulder.

Same can be said about jobs. WSO kids think IB will be “prestigious”, but once they get the job, they see it’s just a shitty office desk job that pays well, and dont think much of it anymore. Same with PE.

Completely agree. Not saying it’s the same or that there’s no benefit, but just that 99% these kids don’t wake up and feel like they’re the shit or better than everyone else. The idea that it’s some complete shock or revelation for them to hear that there are others who are smarter/harder workers than them is hilarious.

Yup. It's literally like a regular ass school. I went to a Notre Dame/Gtown type school my freshman year and then transferred to an Ivy. The environment is the exact same - just college students trying to have fun. Might make the occasional Cornell is a state school joke, but that's pretty much it. this post reeks of cope

Not one person who went to an Ivy thinks that just because they got in their lives are set and they don't have to work hard.

This is just not true.  I am sure most people who go to or went to target schools work hard but when your daddy donates a large sum of money to get accepted into a school, you may not a strong incentive to work hard.

How many people you think exist in the world where their father is so wealthy they can buy their way into Harvard?

Basing your point on something that only plays to a handful of people shows how stupid your view is.

Yea there are few billionaires in the world whose kids don’t have to work, how does that apply to the vast majority of people? You’re a genius.

The networking at top schools is good. You might not see it now, but in 10-20 years you’ll have a good Rolodex.

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

You sound like a complete idiot in a state school and no internship--or any prospects for that matter--coping with your shitty life choices and academic failures. No one has ever denied that there are smart students at state schools, and no one has ever denied that there are dumb students at elite schools. That you can't even grasp this simple truth already reveals that you're a complete moron--fitting, as you clearly go to a shitty school. You'll surely achieve great things in life with this attitude and level of critical thinking. All the best.
