Ever Interviewed/Worked a Job you Were Super Unqualified For?

I'll go first. I was looking for a summer internship last year, and being a high school student at the time, my options were limited. I applied to easily 200+ university co-op spots and snagged interviews for 7 of them. I then used this forum to brush up on my modelling skills and understand what goes on in different industries and managed to get offers at 3. I ended up working at a commercial real estate development company over the summer.

Being so young definitely meant I walked into the interviews with something to prove, I vividly remember my interview at the place I ended up accepting the offer. I had 2 hours to collect, organize, conclude, and then present my idea to a Director. Definitely enjoyed even just the interview experience and I attribute a lot of my success in that interview to what I learned through resources linked to on this website.

I'd be interested in hearing stories like that, granted interviews you're not qualified for, even working jobs and being forced to learn as you go.
