Exit Opps from a Florida Gang - Need Advice

Hey WSO community,

Long-time lurker, first-time poster here. I just wrapped up my "internship" with one of the more notorious gangs in Florida, and I’m looking for some insight on exit opps. For context, I’ve been working with them for about a year now, focusing primarily on "asset acquisition" and "territorial expansion." My experience has been intense, but I've developed a solid skill set in negotiation, "product distribution," and "conflict resolution."

I’m considering making a lateral move to one of the more renowned hoods to take my career to the next level. Some potential places I’m thinking of are:

  • O-Block - I’ve heard a lot about their strong organizational structure and strategic influence in Chicago. Seems like a solid move if I’m looking to climb the ranks quickly.
  • Compton - Always been a powerhouse on the West Coast. Their operations are legendary, and the network opportunities could be huge.
  • Harlem - Closer to home, and they’ve got a rich history. The connections here could be beneficial for long-term career growth.

I’m open to lateral moves if it means a better work-life balance. This past year has been a grind, and I could use a bit more downtime while still staying competitive in the game. Plus, the hustle culture in these places is something I’ve always admired.

Would love to hear your thoughts on these options or if there are any other hoods I should consider. Also, any advice on how to best leverage my Florida experience when networking and interviewing would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance, and looking forward to your input!

MS-13 is an underrated exit imo. Huge tailwinds with their involvement in the opioid trade and strong presence in the American south

Depends on gang, is it a prestigious jacksonville gang like atk or kta. If yes you will have quality exits. Orlando gangs used to be bulge bracket.. but now falling like DB. Exits to orange county prison is the average. Will get looks to Mega-gangs though. Tampa is unprestigious/LMM. Miami prestigious, but Jax is better for exits. Jax exits are usually famous rapper.
