The infamous Silicon Valley company has already come out with another news on privacy...again.
Facebook said on Thursday that millions of user account passwords had been stored insecurely, potentially allowing employees to gain access to people’s accounts without their knowledge. - From the Dealbook
But fortunately the article does say FB hasn't found any abuse...yet. And you don't have to change your password apparently.
This is getting out of hand as time goes on. What do you think?
something like https://solid.mit.edu/</a">solid needs to come, but unfortunately the best bet for the people in charge of regulating it is some form of gov.
Kinda like how you sign into some websites using your google or fb account, you'll own your own data, know where it's stored, and decide which websites get what data as well as handling the authentication.
Obviously this is going to throw the current Standard Internet Business Model for a loop, so we'll see how it goes
