I usually strictly read biographies but this year I've dipped into some fantasy books and am trying to find a new series to get into. Back in high school I read 'Lord of the Rings'. My girlfriend gave me a copy of 'Fourth Wing' to read. I read it in three days, but it definitely came across as a book aimed for high school girls.
I love 'Game of Thrones' and sometimes think about reading the series, but I struggle knowing that George R.R. Martin might never finish the last 2 books. I've heard good things about John Gwynne and may look into starting the 'Faithful and Fallen' series.
Any other recommendations? I definitely like the more mature stuff. Gruesome battles, good lore, etc.
