Finance careers outside NYC?

Hey guys, hope you all are having a good labor day weekend. Want to hear your thoughts on a few things -For some background context, I work in a BB in Equities Trading. Since the start of pandemic of last year, I have been working remotely. I actually left the city and move upstate! Its been great and loving everything about it. The town is small, lots of space, people are friendly, and so on.My firm is pushing us to gradually come back to the office. I moved my things back to the city this week … and the city life for sure isn't for me anymore.I know NYC is the major hub for finance but are there any other cities that have a decent financial industry? I am actually okay with some pay-cut. I just don't think living in NYC is sustainable long term (at least for me).Any folks in similar boat?

Charlotte might be a viable option- BofA and Wells have strong footprints there along with some MM banks.

If you feel like freezing your nuts off you could do Minneapolis- Idk how much opportunity is out there but could be another option

Have you thought about just moving to a suburb of NYC and commuting in? Depending on your age/place in life could be solid. I grew up in a commuter town to NYC

Any financial center in the world, beyond those mentioned in the US, so London, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, Frankfurt, etc.
