Free stuff from portfolio companies?

One of my VPs needed to fix something in his house and emailed the management team of one of our portfolio companies (niche manufacturing/HVAC-related) asking if he could get a deal on a replacement part. I thought he was half kidding/half sincere, but they actually mailed him the component he needed for free. This got me thinking - what are some other examples of people getting free products and services from their portfolio companies? Are the Silver Lake offices outfitted with Dell computers? Is everyone at Cortec walking around with Yeti mugs? Obviously a lot of sponsor-backed businesses are serving commercial needs (so not really applicable to gifts), and most of the time it wouldn't be appropriate to just ask for free shit (and most senior PE guys and gals don't need a discount anyways), but would be interested to hear any fun or interesting stories.
