Fruit

I saw this article in the WSJ about Australian fruit farms and how they minimize their labor costs by employing backpackers to pick fruit. If you had to purchase and operate a fruit farm, which fruit would you pick and why?

Probably grapes for a vineyard.

Mangos are legit. I love a good Mango. Probably would have to be in Costa Rica though. I grew up on Mangos in Panama when I lived there as a youngster for a few years.

Apples. I feel like people think mangoes, pineapples, and other more tropical fruits are OP but apples are definitely still meta. Not only do people sleep on eating them for sure, but once acquired, you have multiple strats for usage. Could go the pie route, hit apple juice, push cider, alcoholic cider, crumbles (subset of the pie strat IMO but will definitely be debated by people who use this strat), or even rotate apple cider vinegar. Or you could just eat them, which is also viable even though fruit launched ages ago and updates a lot. Mangoes and grapes are definitely gonna be nerfed soon. Other fruits like cherries might get buffed, but honestly apples don't need one. Plus in this situation if we were all going for fruits, I feel like less backpackers would drop orchard and would instead drop in places with the fruits named above and have to fight to gain control, and a lot of the fruit could be lost there. Imagine how hot vineyard would be off rip. Like coming out of vineyard you'd definitely be in good shape but how often do you survive there? 1 in 5? However in orchard, you definitely have time to loot and can be ready to push other fruit locations without having to fight too much early. Absolutely still the meta, been that way since day one. Thats how you get dubs.

Yeah apples are good.

Thanks man, just trying to get people to play their fruit smarter. You don't have to be the best backpacker in the lobby to win. Hopefully Activision doesn't do anything to orchard with the new map update.
