fucking gym memberships

To preface, I've just started my analyst stint in a large mid-western city. I was pretty active in college, and so it felt natural to me to belong to a gym (it gets cold during the winter months, too). So, I started my journey two weeks ago. I signed up for the week long free trial at four gyms (ymca, la fitness, snap fitness, 24 hr fitness) and decided that I would alternate days at each gym.

At each gym, I had to sit down with some sleazy salesman who tries to get me to sign contract after contract after contract while boasting that these deals I could be getting are "today only" offers. Lucky me. I felt like I was talking to a used car salesman at each place.

I think I'll just get p90x instead.

Gyms ALWAYS claim that you need to sign up "this month" to take advantage of some ridiculous discount. The reality is that they run the discounts year round, but change the name each season.

I was actually a week and a half into a month long free trial at Rush Fitness and quit sitting down with the used car sales guys b/c it was same lame crap over and over.

I went there for my 12th or so day to find out they erased my name in the system b/c I stop listening to their BS pitch every night.. I just lol'd and walked out
