GF Cheated On Me With MBB Consultant. What Now?

Hey monkeys,

I (A2 at BB, NYU, CFA) feel devastated right now. Last night my gf of 2 years cheated on me with an MBB consultant. Recently she has been complaining about how I’m not available, but I didn’t think it would come to this.

I’m so upset/confused as to why she would do this to me. I thought IB was the pinnacle of prestige. Does she think MBB has better exits than IB? Does she prefer his liberal arts Ivy League degree? This makes no sense, IB has way better MF PE exits. We work way more hours too.

Anyways, what should I do next? Do I break up with her and go back on the dating apps? I think I will give her another chance since this is her first time cheating this year. Also, she claims it wasn’t cheating since I agreed to it in advance (technically true), but I still think I need to push back. Lmk thoughts!
