Going Away to Summer Camp

Oh how I miss being young sometimes and being able to enjoy the summer weather. I'm not sure about everyone else but I certainly never went to summer camp at a minimum of $10,000 a pop??

In the top 18, not a single camp costs less than $10,000. To put it in perspective: the cost of these camps are equivalent to a semester at a state college.

Some samples:

- International riding camp for $14,700
- Camp androscoggin in Maine for $10,700
- Tripp Lake Camp for $10,850

Honestly, I didn't have any idea that summer camps could get this expensive. Personally, I always ended up taking school trips or playing a sport or something. Never was into that scene. I wasn't that big of a nature buff when i was younger.
Who here would send their kids away to any of these camps? Is it worth the money to even go to these/ did anyone here attend something like this when they were younger?

I know plenty of people who send their kids, most of whom went themselves. That said, it's pretty sweet -- back in the day, mine had a golf course, water skiing, three baseball fields, go-karts. Fuck, I miss summer camp.
