I asked him for an informational interview lol. typical stuff, except for my name on the bottom :)

Firstly, relax. A first round doesn't mean anything. There are more rounds beyond that and that usually means many more.
Second, you're probably screwed. I simply can't find a way for you to credibly explain this, and you should make sure to remember that: if it takes you too long to come up with a good excuse, there probably isn't a very good excuse at all.
Lesson learned: next time, send another follow-up before going full retard.

I was thinking along those lines. The problem with any mistake on his part is that it sounds like he's not their favorite candidate in the world. Given that, him screwing up emails just shows "a lack of attention to detail" or some other shit they might chalk it up to.
Imagine the guy on the other end: "Hm, I have to finish x project. Fuck, we still have to hire someone. I wonder what that kid is up to. Let me check my email.... wtf is this? Okay, so he's checking out other firms. I see."
Alright, it was sent from a different account and the email had his name and the firm's name, so it would be more like "wtf? creepy" I should've just sent a follow up letter. Stupid mistake
1) Figure out how to spell "goodbye" 2) Boutiques are a dime a dozen, and non-responses = move on asap

If your name is common then he'd assume that you were someone else with the same name, if he even remembers your name at all. Been at my firm for a month--I barely remember my co-workers' names. You're probably fine.
Yes - I neglected to think about the fact that you sent this from a completely different email account.
OP, if your name is in the least bit common and you haven't disclosed any personal information in your bogus email (resume, phone number, etc), then it's completely possible for you to play it off as it not being you.
