GPA - Rant

I am in the process of searching for a new job. I am 4 years out of undergrad and have built up a strong resume. I have found several jobs at large banks that fit my skill set perfectly. The only problem is my GPA. Every application asks for GPA and unfortunately mine sucks. I have a feeling that putting a sub-par GPA on an application will automatically disqualify me for a job. Some jobs even have minimum GPA requirements (3.4 seems common).

I graduated with a 3.0 from a non-target and initially networked my way into a boutique firm run by several alumni. I moved to another boutique firm last year and also successfully passed Level II of the CFA.

I understand why mega firms ask for a GPA, it's a way to weed out applicants. But I think it is complete bullshit. It sucks that my poor decision making as a freshman/sophomore are effecting me today. I have matured a lot since those days and I have the work experience to prove it. I'm sure many of you can relate.
