Have you discovered “crunkcore”?

I absolutely love making fun of cultural phenomena. Thankfully, a relatively new genre of music called “crunkcore” presents a great opportunity to point the finger and laugh. What am I talking about? Please, allow me to expound.

Apparently, some Arizona teenagers saw an opportunity to create synergies of douchbaggery by fusing screamo, rap, and minimalist techno to create crunkcore. The sound is akin to a teenager screaming while playing with auto tune as his car alarm goes off…if only Mozart had had access to modern technology! Furthermore, rap lyrics have been distilled to create an ultra-retarded, simplistic narration about one thing: partying! To get an idea of crunkcore fashion, imagine the tattered and makeshift rags of a Victorian street urchin, but with retina-burning neon colors, hair gel and girl’s sunglasses.
