Help for a Friend -- Middle Office Associate Comp

Need some help. Anyone have guidance on what type of comp this position would grab? Talked to a guys who worked at BLK and he thinks given SF cost of living and the associate roll the MO associate would make all in between $100k - $140k.

Thoughts?? Really appreciate any ideas.

@"Quaneaser" Really appreciate the feedback. So in your opinion, given you were more senior, if you were someone with 4 years work experience post UG, 3 pf which were doing investment operations at a prominent firm (think $20B+ fund of funds), would you say this person should garner all in comp as an associate that clears 100K? Perhaps all in 100K - 115K?

Really appreciate the help.

To be clear, I am still a junior in IB (3 years out of UG), but in the final months of my stint in the MO role I had a number of candid conversations about what progression and comp looked like with some of the AVPs and VPs and that was essentially the range. For example a 4th year (Analyst to AVP promote) was at 85K base and 10-20 bonus so around 100K all in. So in your described case, being essentially a 5th year, I think 100-115k is pretty reasonable assuming it's not more of a back office role (my team was an FP&A group that produced material for some pretty senior people so there was some visibility).
