Help me find my client's firm name?

I'm a SWer in nyc. I met this client a while back. He and his wife hit a rough patch so they agreed to open their relationship on the dl. (Keeping details at a minimum to prevent making him identifiable potentially)

We connected unexpectedly well, a little too well, but of course the idea of turning it real was absurd. (He's married, kids, age gap, my religious parents) Out of what felt like the healthy thing to do I thanked him for everything and helping me with college tuition before blocking and deleting him.

It's been a month now and I regret what I did immensely. I want to reconnect and understand how he feels before jumping to my own conclusions but idk how to contact him. We both used burners so don't have his real number. I know his first name but it's too common to find him based on that alone. I never inquired more out of SW professionalism.

Would love if any reader could help me find his firm so I can maybe linkedin him or find some way to reconnect. I'm hesitant to share much because I'm not looking to doxx him obviously but one thing I think I can share that's hopefully helpful is that he works at a very lean hedge fund that was even ranked as one of the "leanest" before? Is it possible for anyone to come up with a list of nyc firms that match this? Would be so thankful for it.
