Nice - favorite submissions?

Triangle is my favorite because I have thick and flexible legs. D’Arce is a close second though to ragdoll those dirty turtles. Yours?

Is this limited to BJJ?

I have black belts in multiple styles, but not sure if relevant to this discussion.

No not limited to BJJ... congrats on getting to black - that's amazing! What is it - Taekwondo, Kempo, Judo?

I started training back in 2009 after watching Fedor vs. Brett Rogers. Wrestled in high school. Joined the military because I wanted to train more instead of going to college. Trained almost full time for a few years but focuses changed after seeing how shitty of a life style "top guys" had in the sport and head injury stuff from MMA. Decided to do finance/consulting so now I'm at an Ivy+ undergrad working my way into the industry. I only picked up a blue belt since I did mostly nogi and moved around a lot, but I'll absolutely smoke you if you aren't at least a competition level purple. I don't train much anymore but still try to keep up to date with technical developments in BJJ.

Brown belt and getting my black belt this month when the head of the association visits from Brazil.

Trained 6x times or more a week in high school and college, very hard to train consistently since I started working but usually make it once or twice a week. Definitely can’t keep up anymore with those who train competitively like I used to.

Congrats on the brown and upcoming black.

How long have you been training in total? All at the same school or have you moved around?
