HOCKEY!

So anybody watching the NHL playoffs this year?

predictions?

My Wings are doin pretty good against the Coyotes. The teams I'm mostly afraid of are Vancouver and Philly. Slightly worried about San Jose but I think we could beat them this year.

lol at Chicago... barely even made the playoffs and they're about to lose in the first round after winning the cup haha. I just hope they can wear the Nucks down a lil bit more like they did today.

Who do you think is gonna win it all?

What's your idea of a sport? Badminton? hahaha

I'm a Jersey guy and while I do cheer for the Devils, I'm going with WINGS all the way.

UofCOandGFinally a thread on a real sport. Go Leafs Baby. As for the cup this year I'll take Vancouver.

As a die hard Leafs fan, I simply hate Montreal but for pure benefit of the Leafs hope they beat the Bruins and improve our first round pick (can't stand the Bruins either). As for the Wings, they will always be in the hunt as they have such a great scouting staff.

In reference to the comments the OP made about Chicago don't have much basis considering the team is merely a shell of the team they had last year and because of the salary cap they have to dump 3-5 players that were key to them winning the cup last year. That's just the way it works in the "New NHL", you can't keep all of your young talent because you can't afford to pay them. On the flip side, I agree that the Nucks are looking great and would be quite happy to see them win the cup... finally!

Pitty gets my respect too, doing what they are doing without Sid and Malkin is incredible. I would like to see them make a bit of a run.

But that's the beauty of it! There were some Blackhawk fans saying shit like... move over Detroit, there's a new dynasty! HA. It was a result of management of the Blackhawks, it doesn't happen every time a shitty team wins the Cup because of good draft picks (see: Pittsburgh. They've actually managed their stuff quite well).

Either way... I'm a Wings fan, I'm supposed to hate and rag on everything Chicago.

Oh, and whoever said something about the Kings... they would've had a chance if they would have held on to last night's game. A 4-0 lead lost! It was theirs to lose and they did just that! I didn't think they had that great of a chance vs. SJ anyways until I saw the first part of last night's game. They're going to be so deflated because they really shit the bed on that one. Fucking pathetic.

WalMartShopper.. If the Bruins play like the did the 1st two matches... and Thomas keeps giving horrible rebounds, the habs will win this.

Yeah I don't know what to think of that series. If it wasn't for the pick I'd be going for Boston but I find myself cheering for both teams. I just hope it goes to game 6 or 7 so neither team gets cocky and then the winner gets swept in the second round lol.
