Holden Caulfield Syndrome?

This is going to sound really pretentious, but lately, I've been viewing more and more people around me as tools. So many people seem so generic, lame, and phony... for lack of a better word. I realize that I'm probably no better in their eyes.

I don't want to be a cynical, self-important cunt, but I can't seem to help it.

So many people are "so generic, lame, and phony". That's why you foster friendships with people you enjoy.

@bic

I have felt this way for some time now. I can't even write any further in this post because:

A. I don't want to sound stupid (because I hate people I find stupid, including myself when I do) and B. I know that if you're really of this opinion, then you're judging every word I write

I think that everyone is crazy; those who are the wrong kind of crazy are cast out from mainstream society.

Holden Caulfield syndrome? More like the human condition. Go read some Schopenhauer; let the hate build inside you.

People demand freedom of speech as a compensation for freedom of thought which they seldom use.
