Do firms typically give July 4th off, and since it’s on a Thursday this year, will they give Friday off? Curious about Deutsche NY in particular

July 4 will definitely be off. For DB NY I know last summer July 3 (Monday) was not off, though a fair amount of people chose to WFH or left early, so I would assume probably similar situation this summer for July 5.
Piggybacking on the OP, what other holidays / how many do you guys get total per year?
