Hey everyone,
1st year Associate into BB here, in New York and I have to decide between 2 studios in midtown.
1 is a 5 min walk from the office, ~400 sqft, elevator, doorman, laundry (wash & fold by the lb) and maid service within the building, $2595 rent with no fee.
2 is a 15-20 min walk from the office, 650 sqft, elevator, no doorman, have to find laundry and maid elsewhere, $2375 rent with $3375 broker fee.
In normal life situations I would go for option 2, however, I'm unsure as to how important those daily extra 15 min of sleep are, as well as ability to save time with domestic stuff being taken care of within the building.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
400 square feet? Please do not do that to yourself. That is very small.
400sqft ... $3000 a month in rent...
