How do I protect my happiness

How do you deal with miserable people who want what you have? I feel like more than ever now I can't even be happy for others, I’m becoming everything I despise. How do I protect my happiness but continue to be supportive of others?

You cut them off. You should look out for people out there who have their own ambitions, definitions of success, achievements, etc. and do not feel misery over your successes - these people tend to be seeing and hearing that their network of friends is doing well (it indirectly benefits them being friends with you and being able to pick your brain etc.)
