How do you stay sane?
As I progress in life I've been meeting a lot of relatively "high net worth individuals". Ive noticed common trends amongst them through casual discussion (eloquently spoken, well read, etc.) but I've never made it to the point in conversation in which I feel comfortable asking what their hobbies consist of. Obviously I'm not expecting these guys to be gamers and spend countless hours doing something ridiculous, but my curiosity still lingers. For those of you who are successful, established, whatever you want to call it. What are your interests? What do you like to do in your (very limited) free time?
Golf
Retromods
Car driving
buying/selling cars
Others I know:
sailing, golfing, traveling, multiple homes, international family, health related hobbies, collecting valuable art/furniture
Some I know (and likely due to where I live):
- gym
- biking / running as a team sport
- desert toys
- lake toys / house
The next generation of wealthy folks will have gaming as a hobby even in their 30s and 40s (Gen Z and Gen Alpha definitely and a lot of younger Millennials)
It's just a shifting Overton window. You need something to unplug and burn off steam. Gaming can be one of multiple things, adding some social stuff like Golf or Tennis
1. God
2. Country
3. Family
And football
damn right brother! "God, Honor, Fatherland" is the motto of the Polish military:
