How many of you all own firearms?
As the title says, just curious how this community feels about the 2nd amendment.

I don't own one and will never get one
Oml 😂😂 cmon guys you really gonna give this dude low quality monkey shits for simply saying his life choices? Y’all soft 🤡🤡
I own a handful, 2 handguns, 1 shotgun and 1 AR
You mean a protection rifle no?
No I think he means Armalite
My family and I own all kinds of guns and rifles, in both the US and EU nations (where legal, of course).
Some of my ex gfs owned (and even carried) a gun as well.
Overall, I would say ownership is higher than CCW, and even then most people I know don't own a gun.
For many people owning a firearm has very little to do with the 2nd amendment. What I mean by that is for someone like myself who grew up hunting, firearms were a tool to be used for hunting, I owned them for that purpose not because it was my 2nd amendment right to do so. The 2nd amendment merely protects our right to own them for whatever purpose that may be.
Have an AR-15 and probably going to buy a glock 19 in the next 6 months
I went with the 17, I liked the feel better, but nice.
Am curious why someone would own an AR. Hobby shooting?
Not judging, just curious
They fun as hell to shoot. You seem pretty open minded so if you have friends, take one out to a range sometime. It truly is a skill to be able to shoot accurately and precisely. There's also just a cool factor as well to owning one that some people feel.
Well you would an AR because it's typically cheaper than competing firearms and has a surplus of spare parts.
Hell yeah, I have plenty
I did... Until my boating accident. Fortunately no one was injured.
Your gun fell in the water or something?
It's unfortunately a very frequent occurrence. Everybody is packin on the high seas and sadly many firearms meet their end in davy jones locker.
Wow what a coincidence . . . I lost mine in a tragic boating accident as well!
As did I, very tragic.
This thread glows in the dark.
CIA GLOW NI-
I quite enjoy long range target shooting as a hobby, and I have several builds that I have accumulated over the years

Beretta A300 for clays
I don't own one, but I go to a range sometimes and shoot handgunds.
4: 1 12 Gauge, 1 AR-15, 1 .22 rifle, 1 9mm pistol.
If I live in Chicago after graduation but want to get a handgun, how (if I can) do I go about this process given it's "a gun free zone"?
Move.
