How much time do you spend on Internet forums?

As much as it’s great to shit post and throw monkey poop onto accounts who you think could be your asshat mba associate, idiot vp, clueless intern etc, do you ever tally up your bananas and wonder how much of your life you’ve dedicated to WSO/ other forums?

How much time do you spend on these sites?

I work in corpdev so I only work 20 hours a week. I probably spend at least 10 hours a week, usually on my managers time, solely reading forums

Oh man...

I have dozens of logins, hundreds or thousands of bananas accumulated since I was an analyst back in 07. The amount of time I've wasted on here is unfathomable. Now I come to waste the time of hundreds of college kids, prospects and analysts, writing completely depressing and cynical input onto random posts, so they slowly end up being miserable and self-loathing, just like me.

Usually when I’m awake. I need a lot of stimuli and dopamine. Worth it.

Too much than I have to. My initial effort was to convert entertainment forums to money earning/side hustle/ grinding forums. WSO was the perfect fit but now I think I'm more keen into the entertainment aspect of any forums such as the dating part.

/fit/, WSO, and the misc is all you need. Most online communities like twitter and reddit are absolutely fucked to go on, full of whiny losers. Nice to find a high T crowd

I have hundreds of thousands of posts across a few forums in aggregate. Have been on various forums since I was 8. All started with me trying to get advice on a section of Splinter Cell.

My first business was the result of forum use and I have a ton of irl friends from forums too. Some of these people I’ve been friends with since I was maybe 12 or 13.

Whenever I visit a city, I usually carve out a half day or whatever to hang out with these people in person. It’s always fun!

It’s even where I met my cofounder!

hell yeah, I remember those days!

Depends on the workload. Primarily occurs when I am waiting on somebody to do something and/or need to pass some time, and I've read too many WSJ articles to concentrate at that point. I am currently typing this in my office while waiting for a meeting to start and having some compliance training playing in the background. Some day's I'll spend like 45-hour at work on here, some days I won't check this site for weeks. Just how the ball rolls

I feel the same way, lately it's been kum & go but been mostly on random evenings, sometimes during the workday too

Why are you on all of those lol

lol - Because I was a CFA wannabe, a triathlete (4:48 70.3) and embarked on the path to go to Med School and Law School at certain points.

I have 10 people that hide in a basement in Somalia/Rhodesia/India (top secret) that manage my forum accounts on my behalf. They work in shifts to ensure a 24/7 presence on WSO
