How to calculate cost of debt using Morningstar?
Let's take Gilead Sciences for example here. If you look at their bond profile on morningstar.com (http://quicktake.morningstar.com/StockNet/bonds.a…) you'll find about 15 or 20 different bonds with a different yield. What is the best way to go about finding the cost of debt using this information? Do we just create a weighted average of the yields? Do we have to look into whether these are senior notes or not? Any light on this subject would be awesome.
