How to meet smart attractive women?

One of the major disadvantages of Chicago as opposed to NYC is that virtually all quality women who are 25+ are married, engaged, or in long-term relationships. Given that I'm 30 years old and would like to meet someone it's been quite frustrating. I have gone to young professionals events, tried match, and tried to meet women at bars (which always ends up being a debacle).

Aside from going to a top business school (which are filled with smart attractive women and a very easy place to meet quality women), what else can I do? Advice would be greatly appreciated. My social life is awful right now, and I'm trying to make improvements.

Date college students :) 30 is a prime age for a man and if you think 7,8-year age gap is normal, there would be tons of smart and attractive college girls (okay maybe not exactly tons but many of them) who would be swept away by mature and successful men.

Date younger women. Start hanging out more in general and get yourself into circulation. Get random ass, find people you like, and start living life bro.

And stop worrying about the "smart" thing. They're not that smart, they just look for certain things. You're looking for a domestic partner, not a fucking employee.

By "smart," I'm not looking for a rocket scientist. I mean women who are reasonably intelligent, knowledgeable, and successful. I can't just talk about stupid shit all the time.

I was shocked at how many attractive women I saw when I visited Wharton. Their first-year class is 45% female, so if I could have gone there, I think I would be killing it. Sigh.

Chicago has a lot of hotties, but they tend to only free up in the summer. During the long winter months, I always noticed a tendency for people to settle down with whoever their current fling was at the end of the summer so as not to have to venture out 4 nights a week when it's zero degrees outside.

You're in a male dominated industry. Start shopping around for a TAS or Valuation gig at one of the Big4, and you'll be amazed at how many hotties work at Deloitte, PDubs, EY, and to a much lesser extent, KPMG (seem to be a higher percentage of busted chicks at KPMG for some reason). They will be reasonably smart / professional if they are working at one of those firms. You'll get to travel on the firm's dime with a bunch of hot 25 year olds; I can't tell you how many random hookups / relationships start in that type of environment.

Better yet, do the above, but focus on a different city. NYC, or a warmer climate like LA, SF, San Diego, Phoenix. Really man, every thread you post is about how much you aren't happy in Chicago, and every reply you get tells you gtfo of Chicago. At what point are you going to consider that as a real solution to your problems?

This thread is such a disaster...

Honestly, OP, join a professional organization, or charitable org that caters to young professionals. Met plenty of elligible men that way looking for smart, involved females and there are many of them. The women are classy and while many are taken, not all will be. Just bounce around until you find a crowd you like.

Googling around for shit like this: http://www.artic.edu/aic/members_donors/art_interest/EveningAssociates/…

Young professional auxillaries at major arts institutions around Chicago would be a start. Probably more gals than guys at such things.
