How to navigate convo about drinking?

Been reaching out to upperclassmen/alumni as I prep for recruiting, and as we talk, alcohol comes up quite often in casual conversation - talking about experiences w/frats & clubs at school, or talking about hanging out w/people at the office. I’ve obviously never been pointedly asked if I drink or not, but I do not drink and have no plans to.

I know “vibes” is a sizeable part of recruiting & networking - basically would they hangout with you outside of professional convos/work or not. I’m wondering how I can dodge around questions about drinking/mention that I don’t smoothly.

Would appreciate advice from anyone who’s been in a similar situation. Thanks in advance!
