How Well Do You Know Women & Money?

mod (Andy) note: "Blast from the past - Best of Eddie" - This one is originally from January 2010. If there's an old post from Eddie you'd like to see up again shoot me a message.

Here is a fairly infuriating quiz about how well you know women and money, put together by female personal finance guru Suze Orman. I scored 3 out of 10, underscoring my lack of knowledge of the fairer sex, despite several decades experience and tens of thousands in divorce settlements. See if you do any better.

4/10... I must say that I feel dumber having taken that test. It was basically just a series of 'gotchas.' What state has the biggest wage gap? I know all the statistics about persistent wage gaps etc, but why would I know that Wyoming has the biggest? I don't live in Wyoming, heck no one does, its had the smallest population in the union for like the past 3 years or some such.

--There are stupid questions, so think first.

4/10

I feel like so many of the questions were ill-defined. What percentage of household finances are managed by women? I didn't think that was clear - does it just refer to groceries etc? or rent/mortgage and elec bills?

I think the quiz was designed to make us feel like MCPs. If so, it definitely succeeded in its objective with me!

5/10...and I second guessed myself on 3 of the questions I got wrong...I should have went with my first instinct.

Taken by a dude.

Superb attention to details!

Late to the game but 3/10. Only because I've covered Pepsi in the past and AIG was a giveaway from just reading these posts. That leaves 8 questions I pretty much just guessed on, which makes me like a real idiot because based on these facts, I should have a 4/10.

Later to the game and 7 out of 10 but so what, this has nothing to do with women or finance. It is a current affairs and public policy wonk's superficial quiz.
