All the AI and universal income topics got me thinking about this. With robots/AI uprising, how will humanity survive? I don't mean this in a terminator kind of way, but with AI taking over most of the unskilled - and even skilled work later on - unemployment is going to be a huge issue.
If we do not have a plan ready for all the unemployed and put them to a productive use, either: - Humanity will either collapse (violence, bored people, wars, nothing to lose etc. etc.) - Humanity will really prosper as a higher civilization because we can be super productive with a good plan.
Was wondering how other monkeys think the future can look when AI is taking over a large part of the world? How would you use the unskilled labor, what kind of governments do you envision?
