Yeah, Yves Rossy has been in the news for the past two years. I think he is a retired swiss air force pilot with thirty years of aeronautical experience.
For those of us who want to get in the air sooner than thirty years from now or who think the sound of crashing waves and the wind beat the sound of 110 db engines, there is another option:
That would look sick on an MBA app.. I bet I could get into HPY with that no problem.
"After you work on Wall Street it’s a choice, would you rather work at McDonalds or on the sell-side? I would choose McDonalds over the sell-side.” - David Tepper
Seems like it would be just as fun, maybe even more, as sky-diving.
Whenever it's a non-freezing weekend and the conditions allow.
Hang gliding is like a cross between skydiving and chess. You spend a lot of time waiting on launch for the right conditions and a lot of time trying to find lift.
Launching off the side of mountain, watching the ground give way beneath you to a cliff as you careen over the road below- isn't the same rush as jumping out of a plane, but the magnitude is probably about the same. The funny thing is that aside from the 15-20 mph wind, it's completely quiet. You can hear birds calling, you can hear the wind rustling in the trees; it's much quieter than being inside a commercial jet. You feel the wind rushing past you.

How often do you go hang-gliding, Illini?

Should put a gatling gun and some air-to-air missiles on each wing of that shit.
