I AM SCREWEDEDEDED

got back from a trip with the boys down to cacun where we partied like typical college students for a week and half, then i got home to find a big package waiting for me.

So I got an internship for the fall and they just mailed me 1600 pages of materials that I need to "master" before starting to work on the 18th of July. The mangaer made a point to tell me, in an attached note, that I absolutely positively have to learn whatever is in there by that date or basically I am fcuked. Apparently they are going to test me on this?!

So I have this book thing or more its like 6 inches of paper stuffed in 2 three inches black binders....

i looked through most of its credit risk modeling and var models...there are some basic shizt about the interest rates, feds, markets, etc interpersed in there...

i realized that out of the 1600, i hve no idea what half of those pages are talking about....actually more like 1200/1600, i do not understand those pages at all, like i will be reading and i am like wtf.....

so basically i have no clue as to what to do here, how do i try and learn all this stuff? i bascially got 3 weeks, 22-3 days to learn about something i hve never heard before....wtf should i do?! how much time does it take to learn about credit risk modeling/var models?

and i dont want to lose the internship since it pays nicely and it has a ton of other awesome perks.....

Any advice? Discuss

THANKs....i think i m goin to get some adderall and red bull

this totally messes up my summer plan, to think i was goin to out to cali....

I'm sorry to be blunt, but a month to cover about 1200 pages worth of material is not bad at all. If you're not working nor in school at the moment, this should be easy to handle. At 50-60 pages a day, it's not a joke, but it's very easily manageable if you just sit yourself down, and realize how important it is towards your future. It's definitely nothing that you need a "study aid" for.

Wow, seriously, you have a month and you're worried about getting this shit done in time ? Even my fuckin' dog could do that shit in a month. I thought you were bitching because it was due in a couple of days.

If it's really dense reading, I think you are fucked.

If it's a fucking Harry Potter book, you shouldn't have any problems.

Either way, you should start chugging now.

if it's really dense and he gets most of it done he has a decent chance of being ok - it's not like people expect you to absolutely memorize everything out of 1600 pages.
