I fear that my Analyst Offer might be taken back - What to do

Hello guys,

To keep things brief I am a masters student with an offer to start next June. However, I just found out I will not have enough credits to graduate by then.

No matter what I do I am going to graduate in fall next year. Since I already have my undergrad degree do you think my bank will still fire me for not graduating in time?

My masters program also has a part time option so its not like I can't work.

Currently my plan is to not say anything until last minute and pretend like I didn't know and also so they don't have time to replace me.

Should I confess now? What do you guys think will happen when that time comes.

At both schools I went to, you could sign in to more classes than needed if you just got them to sign a form.  So if you're one or two courses short, it shouldn't be a problem.

Plan b: make up some BS about how there were no slots available in a class you needed to graduate.  They're less likely to punish you if they think it's your school fucking up, instead of you giving them the wrong dates accidentally or on purpose.  Preferably call your HR rep instead of emailing because you don't want to be biting your nails waiting for her to get back

This is a really terrible idea. Of course you would know when you graduate, and they can replace you in a matter of weeks. Lying is going to make this worse.

Does your school have extra classes over the summer or in January that you can take? Can you take additional classes online in the spring and transfer them in?

If all of your options are exhausted, call them now and say your graduation was postponed and ask to start in January (or whenever your degree is done). The bank won't want you to work part time, but pushing back a few months isn't the end of the world. But seriously, you should be thinking of every avenue possible to graduate close to on time, even if it's in August.
