If you died today, would you be satisfied with your life?

No, I got fucked at the casino over the weekend and need revenge before I die otherwise I'll be stuck haunting the damn place.

haha what game were you playing

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

Poker and BJ. Poker blew me out quick a guy got pocket kings 2x in <4 hands and wasted like 2 hours grinding back. BJ just went horribly, multiple 4-5 hit 21s when dealer showing bust cards after doubling/splitting into it.

'知足常乐'

One of the simplest (every Chinese-speaking kid in school knows this term) yet wisest sayings imo by Lao Tzu, ancient Chinese philosopher, author of the famous Tao Te Ching.

'Knowing that what you have is enough, will make you happy always'

By this logic, anyone can be satisfied with their lives. You just need to be content with what you have.

In the words of the even more famous Spanish genius señor Benjamin Chang:

Probably not. I'm still young (in my 20s). Before I die, I'd like to marry my girlfriend, raise my dog, have kids, watch them grow up, progress in my career, and retire spending my golden years with my now girlfriend (and hopefully) future wife. I don't think that anything happens to me as a person after I die, so I won't be able to accomplish those things. If I were taken out of the game now instead of 50 years from now, that would be tragic IMO.

haha little cheng - the first thing you think about is proper consumption of your resources

Indifferent, perhaps moderately disappointed, but mostly relieved.

The important thing is never to let oneself be guided by the opinion of one's contemporaries; to continue steadfastly on one's way without letting oneself be either defeated by failure or diverted by applause.

This is what I think too. It's not that I'm thinking about death (my own at least), but I am considering more frequently how to make a positive impact in the world and in my community.

Well, I am currently living in a state of mortal sin and have achieved nothing of note in my 28 years of life, so no, I am most definitely not eager to shuffle off my mortal coil anytime soon. If, however, my number were indeed to be called up today, I hope that I would find the courage to embrace the unknown, hoping to see and be light.

...and the Truth shall set you free

As of my writing this, I'm in a state of mortal sin as well and need to get to terms with that quickly.

Funny thing is, I almost died on Saturday. That would have been a real joke of an end, far away from home, in the shivering cold, one week after my last confession and again in deep, deep mortal sin. Maybe that's why I didn't die back then, because I still have some level of saintliness to achieve.

...and the Truth shall set you free
