You just started training. Youre in NYC with all your boys working 30 hours / week making banker salary. Middle of the summer and nightlife is amazing. Don’t hit the desk for a few weeks. Life is great

As a second year analyst you’re dumb if you don’t do on cycle unless you’re totally unprepared, you should honestly be able to cram rn though if you start tonight
To each there own. I’m taking advantage of this time. I’ve been spending most of my nights out and living it up. I know my social life is going to plummet once I hit the desk, so might as well enjoy it now. Strategically, I think partaking in on-cycle is the best chance to land. Personally, I’m not prepared and would rather take my time.
1st year at a bulge bracket (think GS, MS, Lazard) and on-cycle is all we talk about during training lol
