I almost posted this yesterday, but since the girls where white, I decided not to...don't want to give my race a bad name! LOL.

I just have to say people are fucking ignorant if they mess with cops. Should this guy have punched her in the face? I don't think so...mostly because it looks horrible to the public. Was he justified in punching her...hell yes. My dad is a cop and literally probably half a dozen of my close friends from HS are LE and several more from college. There are certain things you try not to do as a cop and that is openly strike a person's face and use choke holds. Those things just rub the public the wrong way.

Anyways, the guy should have used his taser and let that bitch fall to the floor...cuffed her up and then put her in the back of the squad car. *caveats: I'm not 100% if APD carry tasers or not and the spread of the barbs would not have been very sufficient and might not have taken her down from such a short distance.

At any rate, the cop was totally justified. I worked security at a bar/restaurant for a while when I was in college and we would see people all the time get fucked up because they weren't minding their own business and interfere with the police when they were investigating an accusation or actually arresting someone. I've seen a dude knocked out cold because he started resisting when he was being cuffed, managed to get an arm free, sort of swung at the cop and then just got blasted with a right hook (by the cop) and went straight to the ground...when he woke up he was already handcuffed, lol. I've seen a number of people get tased because they were getting rowdy and grabbed the cop. In my opinion a cop in that situation only has a few choices: punches, ASP, Taser or gun.

I know lots of people find it disgusting that a man would punch a woman but back in reality those cops are in an extremely difficult and dangerous situation. They have their backs to a room full of people, some just inches away although many LE officers utilize retention holsters (double, or sometimes even triple) they can fail and your gun can be drawn by someone other than you. If they allow that woman to attack them and the other chick that is sitting down jumps in, you are on the verge of a potential riot in which the cops could easily be overpowered and injured/killed.

I've always been intrigued to some extent by law enforcement and considered (many times) pursuing it as a career, but truth be told, I have a temper and I would always put myself (my personal safety, my family, etc.) first, which would potentially mean escalating the situation in order to not jeopardize my own safety. That would mean if someone hit me they would likely be tased, if someone came at me with a weapon, they would probably be killed. I just didn't know if that was something I wanted to deal with so I passed and decided to get raped in fiance instead, lol.

cph, have you seen the video (i think it's a few years old) of the woman who gets tazed after being pulled over and refusing to get out of her car? After prodding her for a long time, the cop finally yells "Get out of the car or I'm going to taze you!!!" then he stuns the shart out of her...and her screaming is priceless, call me a sadist but she honestly deserved it. I'd find the video but I can't at work.
