"Incoming Summer Analysts" & "Rising Analysts"
Am I in the wrong to think that these LinkedIn titles are incredibly tacky? I think this goes into territory beyond "pride in accomplishment"
Tacky and absolutely unnecessary. Be proud of your accomplishments, but just wait until you start to put your title. I can assure you that your mom and dad are plenty proud without the LinkedIn update.
It's even better when they go on Facebook and post the following message:
"After much deliberation, I've decided I'm going to spend my summer working at The Goldman Sach. May Lord Blankfein smile upon my soul."
Followed, of course, by the end-of-summer picture of them standing outside the office, "So excited to accept my offer!"
