hey all, does anyone know about Independent Non-Executive Directorships? I was told that once you have some years of experience you can start picking up INED appointments for interest and some remuneration. I was also advised that getting certified first is a good way to break in to INED roles. However a quick google search came up with dozens of certification programs.
- Which INED certification programs are legit and decent value for the $? Are they really necessary for getting INED roles?
- What are the steps one would take to start getting INED roles?
- Is there a conflict with other PE activities absolutely, or is deciding whether there is a conflict typically at each firm's discretion?
- Is there any credible director fee benchmarking out there?
