100% I badly want to make friends with other ambitious / motivated people in IB/PE/HF/CO and tech. So far most of my friends are in sales jobs and complain how horrible the work is….

In terms of professional circle, yes. That's why recently I've been networking a ton.
Social circle? I feel conflicted at times. I've been hanging out with the same close friend group for ~5-6 years now and it has gotten really boring. It was more fun when they were single / childless. We had some really fun nights where we just hung out late at night on weekdays during late 2020. I do miss that.
