Is dating younger women more prestigious?

I’ll be off to grad school soon and been thinking about whether dating younger women (aka undergrads or fresh grads) makes sense. There’s also the “power couple” option of finding more established women around my age in my cohort. Younger people generally don’t have as much money or work experience. Might not work out longer term. I’ve heard MBA chicks are out looking for husbands and commitments.

What’s more prestigious or desirable? I want to look good in front of my classmates and friends.

I can't tell if this is a serious post or not, but I'll bite. There's a big difference between a 25 YO man dating a 21 YO woman and a 38 YO man dating a 25 YO woman. You don't get "street cred" for dating someone a few years younger. The "street cred" is the generational gap. My dad was 50 when he married my 31 YO mother. THAT'S landing a younger woman.

"cauliflowerfractal" 38 and 25 is a big deal right? 5+ year gap seems kinda big to me. Yeah 50 and 31 is kinda what I'm thinking of but... that's me in like 20 years.

Maybe it's just the language you're using. Even when I was 25, I didn't think of saying to myself, "I'm dating a 20-year-old; I date younger women." When I think of "dating younger women" I'm thinking about a gap of a generation, not someone you could have shared a school with.

Which means? You didn't even list your age. Are you 25, 30, 35?

If you have the $, dating younger women is fun. as a 3rd year analyst who failed to recruit for PE because I found the sell-side so much more rewarding, its hard b/c i want my woman to pay 50%. i prefer the first year analysts at consulting/ibanking/software engineering as they aren't sugar baby status.

Date someone you feel comfortable with and who you wouldn't feel embarrassed to be outside with. You really shouldn't care about outside opinion. I get shit for the types of girls that I date but I don't care about that.

Lady luck has been on my side in my 20's, unlike in college, and I'll say that age has made little difference in how well I click with someone. I've met 30 year olds who are as immature as high schoolers, and freshly graduated college gals who are really well put together and I can trust with my life.

All I see is that you're measuring a girl's worth by her age rather than by the amount of Chef Boyardee she can consume in a week. Rookie mistake

I’m a fun guy. Obviously I love the game of basketball. I mean there’s more questions you have to ask me in order for me to tell you about myself. I'm not just gonna give you a whole spill... I mean, I don't even know where you're sitting at

5 year difference is actually a common age gap. I just think it seems bigger when you are 25 and they are 20 because you have income and they do not. As time progresses it really is not much different. In terms of prestige, asking an anonyms forum this probably means women of any age you date are not going to be very prestigious because regardless of age they are 5/10. I would take no age gap 10/10 vs a 5/10 with an age gap.
