Is it a good idea to move in with people you work with at Budge Bracket Bank? Charolette NC Analyst

I am currently on track to graduate this semester. I have accepted a job offer as a compliance analyst at Wells Fargo in Charlotte. Generally speaking, I was told that it is not a good idea to live with people you work with because you don't want your work life and personal life to seepthrough. If you act differently ( I do) and our less PC, you might get in trouble at work, or they could do this again. I also like a good time, and generally speaking, most people are cool with any more it's not the 80s. What are your thought? Please be honest. All opinions are welcome. Also, I'm going to be 27 years old in October. I start in July.

Job officer? lol

Maybe don’t live with your coworkers unless you’re bros. If it’s a random definitely not.

RockNRoller95That's what I was thinking. Also, I'm going to be 27 years old soon, and would have to live with a bunch of 22 years old. This is not ideal!

I would live with 22 yr old girls - it’s fine.

Unfortunately if you’re working at WF or BofA you’ll be running into your coworkers constantly. I agree with you on the fact you have to be more PC and honestly my hypothesis of why Charlotte is very tame compared to other citified in terms of nightlife/things to do is because WF/BofA hire a relatively high proportion of the white collar workers in the Uptown area and so even when many are people are off work they’re still kind of at work.

It’s not exactly the size of the city. Population wise Charlotte is higher than Miami but you’d never have that issue in Miami. It’s moreso the proportion of employees hired by a given company in a certain area. Miami has a lot of random smaller shops so despite the lower population it’s not a given you’ll run into your coworkers. Compound the incredibly low number of true nightlife options (SouthEnd has like 3 bars/hangout places max) compared to Miami and it’s really a “perfect” storm.
