You didn’t really say how it would impact your team. If they allocated someone in your position to do work, it may be bad to quit and leave them hanging. Just avoid burning bridges.

That's called living the dream my friend. Living life is what you're doing right now. Showing up to work, collecting a paycheck, and enjoying the other moments in-between.

You don’t need to travel for 5 months straight. I’ve done two one month stints across Asia and Europe. Both times I was itching to get home by week 3. Why burn 6 months of cash when you don’t have to.

Whatever money you make now probably doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Look at shit like WWOOF and other opportunities to live in cool locations for cheap. I'd kill for 7 months off so I suggest you take advantage of your free time and flexibility in this instance. You'll most likely not have this opportunity again.

If you're talking about taking a hiatus until the FT job.  Then hell yea I would go travel if you have the means to do so.  You know what they say YOLO!

Most ppl want to do this lol. Everyone works hard af now so that later on, living life isn't that hard. What you're feeling is normal before starting your full-time gig but just know that there's an end-purpose to what you want to do.

If the company where you are currently working is different from that of your 2022 FT, go ahead and live life. If you don't do it, you will regret it. Once you start FT, there is no way back. Not everyone has the opportunity of just enjoying life before FT, so now that you have it, take advantage of it.
