Is it Time to Cut Him Off?

A while back, I was able to secure an offer from GS TMT while my friend obtained an offer from one of the lower-tier BBs (BofA). I was elated for him until he started saying things like "we finally made it", "we are working at the best firms", and most dreadful of all, "could have got GS TMT if I wanted to".

How do I politely educate him that BofA to GS TMT is like comparing a disabled infant to Zeus? Is he even aware that RBC M&A will usurp its position in the coming months (I recently saw a post on this)?

Fellas, Is it time to cut ties?

Seeing how you chose RBC M&A over GS TMT, you’d better hope your friend doesn’t cut you off when you realize you need a hand lateraling to the said lower tier BB.
