Itching to spend bonus moolah - nothing to buy

Itching to spend bonus money but everything I am considering is just up a lot and hasn't adjusted for the recent moves in stonks/tech/crypto that should flow through?

1) watches
2) cars
3) vacation homes

Sigh, what is the plan?

I used to save/invest everything I made, but I think it is important to treat yourself to something as well on decent bonus years.

A wise man once told me that saving is for people without a future

  2. backdoor and megabackdoor roth (could be as high as $60k after tax)
  3. vacation, multiple ideas here
    1. if your parents are physically able and maybe not in the best financial shape, take them on a nice trip. let them help plan it, you just foot the bill
    2. boys trip - pick your 2 best friends that you'd enjoy travelling with and pay their plane ticket and cover the whole stay, they just pay for incidentals
    3. personal trip - find a ted talk, museum, landmark, etc., that's in a far flung place and make a 1-2 week vacation out of it
    4. entertainment related - get ringside seats for a UFC fight, center ice at a hockey playoff game, lower level for RHCP (they're on tour right now) or billy joel at MSG, F1 race in Italy in april, box seats for MLB opening day, etc.
    5. supercar experience - everything from the porsche experience in atlanta to a cross country thing all arranged for you
    6. boys trip pt 2 - rent a beach house somewhere everyone can go to, pay for all of the food and booze, some of the drugs, and just tell everyone to get there
  4. buy a handmade bookshelf and completely stock it with everything you've ever wanted to read, ideally all hardback/leatherbound
  5. or, if it's REALLY a lot of cash and you hate your job, take a sabbatical
