I've more or less "quit" trying to make a career for myself

But, i know i need to make one, or I'll be a bum for life. Seriously thinking of buying an existing business. I don't have much left to lose anyway. It feels like I'm not the master of my ship.

What are some good ways to coast/rescind yourself to life while still making decent cash. Part of me wants to get a room on craigslist and be a waiter. Maybe I'll come back around and get back at it, so I don't want to fully shoot myself on the foot. What should I do?

Despite the expected downturn in the economy, i think leaving my job-  for real this time- is the right thing to do.

GG noobs, you now have less competition.

What kind of law do you practice?

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

My friend went to Cornell Law school and then went into corporate governance law in NYC. She grew to hate law and left the legal field completely to become a wedding florist.

Get a corporate 9-5 in something low key (ops, FP&A) where you can just kind of coast. The bigger the company the better, you can hide

I'm trying to do this. I can't get an interview. Why are credit guys treated like all we do is punch numbers in a spread sheet? Our success depends on playing well with others and putting out the fires we start. Those are some of the best skills to have.
