Ivy: Social University

Ivy University was founded by Beri Meric, a former MS banker. It markets itself as a thought-provoking social university that uses the world as it's campus:

IVY is the world's first Social University, created to unite thoughtful individuals through a lifetime of new inspiration and connections. Our curriculum is focused on Arts, Entrepreneurship, Policy, Well-being, and Social Impact. Every month, IVY members are invited to a wide variety of IVY Gatherings that include salon discussions with distinguished thought-leaders, art nights, cocktail and dinner parties, film screenings, theater and symphony performances, fitness and wellness activities, and getaways.

I was invited, but wasn't sure if it would be worth it. The annual fee is more than $1K, but it might be worth it, given that they use the fee to make the events more adventurous, bring you around so many great and different people, and allow you to gain access in a way you might not have, at discounted entry prices.

Anyone else here hear of Ivy University? Have you been invited, yet? Would you or did you decide to join?

Didn't that used to be a dating website for Ivy Leaguers?

I'm talking about liquid. Rich enough to have your own jet. Rich enough not to waste time. Fifty, a hundred million dollars, buddy. A player. Or nothing. See my Blog & AMA
 

Reminds me of the thread about World Class Capital Group. If it's using "Ivy" as a marketing ploy I'm strongly inclined to believe it's some sort of scam.
