Jet Suits.. A future Industry?

So I saw this video about how the company "Gravity" have created the world's fastest jet suit. It's a pretty neat design and seeing how they modified all of the parts to get speed an stability was cool.

One thing got me wondering as whether or not people would be able to afford to splash money on a piece of kit like this and whether they could build an industry with prices of suits being $440k.

Would any of you splash your cash on something like this? Seems pretty pointless right?

It can seem amazing for many people, so I think many people would buy them. What about me, I'm afraid of that thing, so I won't waste my money on that.

Does seem pretty pointless, plus good luck with any regulations the feds are going to throw at this. How would you even underwrite insurance policies for this, the risk seems way too high.
