Jiu Jitsu in Midtown?

Hi all, I'm moving to Midtown soon to start my IB job, and am looking for a BJJ school that has early morning classes and a positive, no-ego culture. I'm hoping to go at least twice a week, if my schedule allows. Anybody have any insights they could share on schools or on doing BJJ while doing IB? I'm a white belt, fyi. Thanks!

I wanted to do BJJ, but my only issue is if you're tired/have skins issues you'll be prone to different kinds of skin/staph infections. IB = being tired most of the time, and you'll need to have uber discipline and shower and wash your BJJ outfit, called a ji, right away after a class. The increased risk of getting skin infections while doing BJJ from lack of sleep discouraged me from taking BJJ classes. Remember, you're going to be on top of partners and practicing on mats used by others. There's always going to be a risk of getting an infection from being in such an environment, and I can't imagine having ringworm while working 70-80 hours...

First of all - you think too much, just wash it every night.

Secondly, it’s a Gi.
